Different applications need different next steps.
Raleigh International’s Venturer and Venturer Manager applications follow different routes. Both need a way to track interest, engagement and qualification, but the manager journey also includes interviews, assessments and a place offer.
The build needed to make those stages visible without treating every applicant as if they were at the same point. Qualification decisions and team actions needed a place alongside the communication workflows.
A main path. Clear routes for exceptions.
The map below condenses two application pipelines. The Venturer route moves through engagement, a call and qualification towards booking; the Venturer Manager route adds interview and assessment stages before a place is offered.
Before: the challenge to resolve
The areas that needed a clearer, more connected process.
- Different entry pointsEnquiries, information events and other expressions of interest need to lead into the appropriate application route.
- Different requirementsA Venturer application and a Venturer Manager application need different checks and milestones.
- Decisions between stagesApplication qualification, interview outcomes and booking status need to be visible to the team.
After: the connected process
Capture interest
Track leads and engagement before an application progresses.
Identify the route
Use separate Venturer and Venturer Manager pipelines.
Follow route-specific checks
Venturers move from a booked call to application qualification. Managers move from qualification through interviews and assessments.
Move towards booking
Track the place offer where required, the booking link and the final booking outcome.
Venturer route
Engaged leads can progress through a booked call, qualified application and booking link to a final outcome.
Venturer Manager route
Interview booking, attendance and a pass lead into assessment invitation, confirmation and a place offer.
Exceptions remain visible
Interview non-attendance and closed-lost stages give the team a place to track applications that do not follow the main path.
The pieces behind the process.
Separate application pipelines
Distinct stage structures for Venturers and Venturer Managers, with shared early engagement stages and route-specific milestones.
Application communication workflows
Workflows organised around enquiries, information events and the two application journeys.
Interview and assessment tracking
Manager application stages covering interview booking and attendance, interview outcome, assessment invitation and confirmation, and a place offer.
Booking and outcome stages
A visible booking-link stage and final outcomes, so an application’s position can be understood alongside the team’s next action.
A system that supports team judgement
Application qualification remains a team decision. The pipelines organise the work around those decisions; they do not imply that every applicant is automatically accepted or moved forward.

A more structured way to work.
A distinct view of each route
The team can follow Venturer and Venturer Manager applications in pipelines that reflect their different requirements.
Visible milestones
Calls, interviews, assessments and booking stages provide a shared view of what has happened and what comes next.
Room for follow-up and exceptions
Non-attendance and final-outcome stages keep alternative paths visible alongside the main application journey.
